What is a Dryer Vent Bird Guard?

Birds love to nest and lay their eggs in bathroom exhaust vents and dryer vents. The most common birds that love building nests in your dryer vents are the starlings and sparrows. The vents often become clogged from the nesting materials of the birds. The vents also become contaminated with bird droppings and harbor such nasty criters as tick, mites and fleas ... to name a few.

A bird guard is a insert that prevents birds from entering and building a nest in the exhaust side of the dryer vent, but at the same time, allowing the lint to escape through the holes.
